Community Rules & Terms

Good moments. Good company.

Simple rules for a private postcard service. Effective 11 October 2026.

For ages 13+. Be kind. Share only with permission.

A little kindness, on their Lock Screen.

Magic Postcard is operated by Jacob Bartlett. It is for people aged 13 and over, not a service directed to children under 13. We do not verify age or ask for a date of birth. By using the service, you agree to these rules.

You must have permission to share a video and respect the people shown in it. Postcards go to accepted friends you select, not a public feed. Do not use invitations or postcards to contact someone who does not want contact.

What is not allowed.

  • Sexual exploitation, nudity or sexual content; any sexual content involving minors.
  • Threats, graphic violence, encouragement of self-harm, hateful content or harassment.
  • Illegal content, impersonation, scams, spam or sharing someone’s private information without permission.
  • Material you do not have rights to send, or attempts to bypass blocks or abuse the service.

Block. Report. Get help.

Open a person’s options in Friends to remove, block or report them. A report also blocks that connection after the server accepts it. Reports about received postcards stop new authorized downloads while the report is reviewed.

The service uses accepted-friend delivery, limited text safeguards, reports and manual operator review. This is not an automatic video classifier and does not guarantee every harmful video is detected. The operator can remove offending stored media or suspend an account. Removing media can invalidate its download links, but copies already saved outside the service cannot be recalled.

Contact for abuse, support or an account-action question. Do not send private videos or live invite codes in the initial email unless they are requested for investigation. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services rather than relying on app reporting.

Your account and your choices.

The app creates a guest identity automatically. Keep access to the device/account if you want to keep those friendships; we do not promise account recovery through a phonebook name. You can stop using the service and permanently delete the account in Friends → About → Privacy & Account.

That screen also links to the privacy policy and lets you control optional analytics. A minimal deletion-progress record and safety reports may remain for the limited retention explained in the policy. Other people’s independently saved copies remain theirs.

A postcard, not a delivery guarantee.

Both people need a compatible Magic Postcard version. Live Activities and network/background delivery depend on iOS and the receiving phone’s settings. A successful send does not prove the postcard was watched. Failed attempts are saved locally for manual Retry; uncertain delivery can result in a duplicate if retried.

These rules and service behavior may change. We will update the public pages when they do. This page does not replace rights that apply under local law. For help, see Support.
